Baby clothes/nappy size advice

Hey! I just have birth to my baby boy on 6th March and as you can see he is a very tiny bub. He was 6lb 3oz and this sleepsuit is tiny baby size! .. obviously it's absolutely HUGE on him. This is the smallest size clothes we have for him but obviously we need to order some that are smaller! Can anyone suggest a good place to buy preemie clothes that will fit better as most shops seem to stick tiny baby as smallest size. (Not that he was actually prem, he was ten days overdue!) Also when in hospital we had to send my mum out to get us some more small sized nappies as we used up the smallest size we got given by someone and we didn't know which ones they were or where they were from and the smallest size she could get in the shop were still big on him we've had to just fold them over during changes which isn't ideal so again, recommendations needed please! :)

What weight is on the tiny baby stuff you have? And are his feet tiny too? If so ill check some of the tiny tiny sleepsuits from my daughter but she never fit them as altho she was tiny her feet were huge 🤣

Asda and tesco do premie clothes. They are normally on sale as people don't need to buy them as much. Also try tesco size 0 as find tesco fits smaller by numbers compared to other brands. Or check out amazon they may do smaller nappies there? Only going by what I've seen out and about as my bub was born 8lb12.

Next and m and s do preemie sizes. They fit my 3lb12 baby girl when she was born. I found the supermarkets weren't great
My sister vinted quite a bit for me too

Although I will say he was only in tiny baby a week and he grew out of them so we had spent lots of money for very time in them

Walmart has a great and affordable section. They have all sizes!

he's almost a week now and they're so huge on him that they're annoying him and in some of them he looks so ridiculous 🤣 I'd like to get a small amount of smaller sized bits but without overdoing it.

Next tiny baby are smaller than most, my boy was 5lb 7 at his lowest and they were okay, also m&s were an okay fit, he didn't move to newborn clothing until around 7 weeks old. We got some preemie stuff and it was way too small, I think it went up to 4lb8...

Our baby body was 6.2lbs and we got tiny baby from M&S that fit perfectly… don’t get too much because they grow in to newborn quite quickly xx

We always swaddle our baby for sleep anyway so clothes a lil bigger doesn’t really matter here xx

Boots own brand size 0 and premature pampers have been great for my little one, they have been the only nappies that reasonably fit her (currently 4lb)
Tesco do a premature range of vests and baby grows although the designs are quite limited. Asda do have a range also but could never find anything in the stores I went to. Did eventually find a pack of babygrows that claim to be premature sizing but they absolutely drown my baba. Marks and Spencers also do some of their multipack vests and grows in an ‘early baby’ size up to 5lb and then tiny baby x

My girl was 5lbs and next clothes were amazing, matalan do good smaller sizes too and i found M&S ran very small, but we bought so many from next and they lasted her for ages!

I just folded up sleeves and tucked things, I looked up a few weeks later and things fit pretty well.. buy a few things for pictures where they aren’t swimming in fabric, but if you can wait they will fit sooner than you think.

Try Matalan too x

I've been using Amazon, Walmart, and target.

My little girl was 6lb 5, within a week or 2 she fit in to Tesco newborn

My little one was 5lbs and we found Tesco, Sainsbury’s and marks and Spencer the best. Every shop is different and I wouldn’t pay too much attention to weight it’s really more about length!

I do have some tiny baby items on my vinted: eleanorbowman28. Very open to offers to help a mama out

I would say vinted to. And try and do bundles. There better for price x

My little girl was small born she wasn’t prem but she was 6lb 10oz and newborn and tiny baby were big on her but I found that every shop is different I bought some newborn from next that fitted lovely but then newborn from Asda was huge on her so I would say it depends where your buying clothes really x

Tesco run small, sometimes Asda do too. Most of my preemie baby clothes were from Asda, primark and Tesco. Matalan is supposed to be good too. Next was also good. All shops do sizing differently which doesn’t help! Try Vinted also x
But in all honestly my baby grew out of newborn really quickly so it might not be too much of an issue
