Those who have flown with their LOs - did you give your baby calpol before the flight or not? Just seen a ‘travel tips’ thing online and they recommended giving calpol 30 mins before the flight which I’ve never heard of before.

I didn’t x

Just book a night time flight. That’s the only hack that works

I personally wouldn't unless they are unwell. I've been on 2 flights with my LB and he was fine. I put ear defenders on him when we boarded the plane and came off. Otherwise just treated it like normal travel with toys etc to keep him entertained

BA and Virgin keep it onboard in case. It helps with their ears, keeps their temperature low and keeps them comfortable for long haul flights. We’ve never had her cry or be uncomfortable on a flight and she’s done 18 now before 2 years old. She’s usually asleep before taxiing, the planes are great white noise machines anyway but calpol helps them sleep too x

Why would you need to give your child calpol ?

Only needed for teething in pain ect I think that’s a odd hack

Nope I didn't but I did take calpol sachets in hand luggage incase it was needed but it never was

I did, I figure anything to save baby some discomfort is worth it
