First time renting

Hi, I’m a single parent and I’ve been living with parents since my little girl was born… but it’s starting to feel abit cramped now and I think it’s about time I thought about moving out but I’ve never done it on my own before and tbh don’t have a clue where to start 🙈 so if anyone has any advice it would be really appreciated. Thank you ☺️

Firstly unless your working alot of landlords require a rent guarantor so someone who earns roughly 50k a year!

Crazy I know , if on universal credit it's very hard to rent as landlords don't trust the system and some agents will ask for 6-12 months upfront !!

You could essentially also have your parents write a letter to the council, saying you need to leave etc just make anything up really but with council housing being hard to obtain, you'll most likely be put into temp housing.

It's honestly not that hard I've lived on my own since I was 21, still feels like yesterday I moved out my mums when I did move out my mu. Helped me sort my bills out etc as that's real adult stuff LOL , Now 13yrs later I'm in a new place with my new babies but in a different area away from my mum which sucks, I had been evicted for no reason and lived in hotel since September 23, glad to be out now x sorry to waffle hope that helps in a way lol x
