Hemorrhoid surgery
Has anyone had to get hemorrhoids removed after giving birth? I had really bad constipation during my pregnancy, and delivered my son on 2/28/24 vaginally. I am getting an open hemorrhoidecty 3/20 and I'm a bit nervous. I know it needs to happen and it'll be better in the long run. They say the first 7-10 days are the worst and that's what I'm afraid of.

I also had TERRIBLE hemorrhoids after birth on 2/29/24. My doctor sent in hydrocortisone suppositories. I was too nervous to do it but they began shrinking 1.5 weeks after birth. I still have a couple tiny ones but it’s not nearly as painful. I literally could barely walk because of them. Also, sitz baths help a lot!! Keeps the area clean and helps reduce the swelling. What’s encouraging you to get the surgery?
