Roseola
My 6 week old has roseola, per his pediatrician. It started Tuesday, with a scratchy throat. Then Tuesday evening he starting getting a fever and then Wednesday morning his fever reached 100.4 and he has developed the rash that means it should be ending but he is still getting fevers but the rash is still there and a little scaly. We are on day 5 today, should he still be having symptoms? Anyone else’s baby had this virus and it last this long?
I’m able to bring his temperature down using lukewarm baths but they always climb back up. The highest his temperature got was the 100.4. He also has a bit of congestion and a little cough every so often.

I was told that if your baby (less than 2 months old) reaches 100.4, bring them to the ER. Also, bring them to a children’s ER… aka the hospital they were born in.
my friend is a pediatrician and checked him out and said he was good. Then I also took him to his actual pediatrician and that’s who told me about the Roseola. If we went to the er we would have waited the normal long wait tone for them to tell us the same thing. I am just over worrying about my boy and was curious if anyone else’s baby has had Roseola.
