Straw cups

I read that putting food around the straw is the best way, so I just popped some yogurt my son was having with his meal around it and it worked really well, he figured out how to use it really quickly x

I’ve heard putting puree or yoghurt on the straw works, but I gave my girl the cup to play with and she picked up drinking from the straw by herself that way :)

We went straight to a straw (never took to a bottle idk if that might have helped) and I'd dramatically suck it then give it to her and I'd continue to pretend I was sucking something and she picked it up within a couple of tries! Also heard a bit of Yogurt or puree on the end helps but never tried it x

I want to do this too! Any recommendations for cups with straws?

yeah that’s what we have

We learned straw drinking in 2 meals. I just took a normal plastic straw and use my finger to trap water in it, then brought it to his mouth. Did that multiple times in a row, and brought his straw bottle to his mouth right after. By meal 3 he was drinking from his straw bottle and has loved it since. I just got one from Poundland!
