My friend had twins and didn’t have a single symptom other than her bump until the third trimester x

Congratulations! I’m also 8 weeks with IVF twins 😊 I wouldn’t say my symptoms are that severe - just tiredness and nausea if I leave it too long between eating

Hi Chelsea, congratulations to you - how exciting! 😍 I have to admit that your post confused me massively and I had to google your case, because I like to know all things pregnancy-related 🙈 The ultrasound picture shows fraternal twins because you’ve got two separate gestational sacs. However, you said only one embryo was transferred which is surprising, because if it had divided, it would have resulted in identical, not fraternal, twins. Therefore, I was at a loss as to where the fraternal twins came from! I found a case study about this and it appears that it’s incredibly rare 🤗 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2788685/
It basically says that one fraternal twin is from the embryo implanted, but the other must be from a fertilized egg you ovulated (which could have been missed during an egg retrieval). In other words, you appear to have fallen pregnant through IVF and naturally at the same time 😳 Out of sheer curiosity - have you spoken about this with your doctor? 😍

Apologies if I’m overstepping, I’m just genuinely fascinated by your case and would love to know if the study’s theory has been confirmed by your doctors 😍 If you’re not willing to share the details, that’s okay! All the best for you, mama 🫶🏼

Hi Maya I’ll private message you because the doctors are looking into our case too because they are fascinated. 🥰
