Possible Lawsuit?
I took a genetic test for spinabifida at around 15 weeks in another office. I moved to a new doctor and sent all my testing over. My new doctor accidentally sent to test me for spina bífida again while I was doing my diabetes check at around 32 weeks. The test is only meant for 12-20 weeks or something like that. Due to this, I came back positive. This sent me in complete stress mode, I was sobbing and terrified. I called the office and they told me it was an accident and not accurate due to me being 32 weeks. Could this be a lawsuit for the stress?

I’m so sorry that you had to go through that! It sounds like you had a stressful day. But no, I don’t think you have a lawsuit here.
unfortunately I don't think so, it's a stressful situation, however those tests do not gaurantee one way or the other is baby will or won't have any genetic diseases, just the probability of one. there are people who test positive all the time and baby is 100% normal and even times baby tests with negative still has a genetic disease or other condition... they are a probability assessment

Yes it wasn’t a nice thing to go through but it hasn’t had life altering effects. No need to sue.
Surely you’d rather seek reassurance and understand what practices led to it happening and what practices they’ve put in place to prevent this from happening again?
