My little boy started at nursery 6 weeks ago, and has settled in well- he goes Mon-Weds, while I work. I do all of the drop offs and pick ups (brutal tbh, on top of a full day's work) and have been the one looking after him through all of his nursery bugs (multiple colds, ear infections and stomach bugs). My husband works long days out of the house 3 days a week, so some days my son just doesn't get to see him at all, and I'm the default parent those days.
This week, my son just doesn't want me at all. He's happy when I pick him up from nursery, but grizzles the rest of the time otherwise. As my husband's had a couple of days off this week, my son has just wanted him for everything- he won't come to me, or cries if my husband passes him to me.
I know they go through phases of preferring one parent to the other, but I'm heartbroken tbh. It's so hard when my life is just so hard atm to try and stay on top of everything, and get everything done at work/home, and then he's not even happy with me.
Anyone else go through this before? Any advice?
