Top side teeth?!

My little boy got his first two teeth, bottom middle ones, at 4 months. He's now 6 months and I've just spotted this, which looks like it's where his lateral incisor or first canine tooth would be?! I thought his top middle would come next? Or maybe it's not a tooth?
Has anyone else had their babies teeth come in in a weird order?
