I recommend treating the dogs, cats and spraying your home and lawn. We do flea collars, spinal treatments, and flee shampoo for the dogs and cats. There’s also a spray you can use for your furniture carpets and you can also spray it on pets . I would also recommend talking to your vet so they can give the dogs and cats a pill to get rid of the fleas. Definitely need to treat your home as well. I don’t know if this will help for fleas but every morning I used to spray my daughters hair with water and a little bit of tea tree oil just to make sure she never got lice from school.

Having dealt with animals all my life, and been a mom for 4 years, also had a flea outbreak during that time, The only thing is to do is eradicate the fleas by treating the pets. Depending on where you live, fleas have different tolerances for preventative medication that’s applied to the pets and some are prescription only. The starting point would be to call your local vet and see what works on the fleas where you live. Here in the Bay Area, frontline doesn’t work, but once I used my vet’s recommendation and switched to bravecto I was able to completely eradicate them within a couple months. After you treat the pets with the recommended treatment, you need to vacuum daily with a bagged vacuum, and throw that bag away in the outside can every day.

Hiii vet tech here ❤️ honestly just washing your daughters hair will work , you can use dawn soap (the blue one with the duck or penguin on it) in her hair and that will suffocate the fleas , you can also wash your dogs in dawn soap but that isn’t going to take care of the bottom line problem of your house most likely infested with the fleas if they are in your daughters hair at this point because fleas don’t like us , we are too “clean” for them ! it will take 3 months of treatment to kill the cycle of fleas ! You need to get your dogs on flea treatment ASAP like nexgard or simparica trio from a vet ! Over the counter products at this point may not be helpful and honestly are just as expensive . You need to flea bomb your house and or everything needs to be sanitized in a wash machine . Best of luck ! If u need anymore suggestions for your pets feel free to message me ❤️

I didn’t see ’s message when I was writing mine but yes definitely use an outdoor yard treatment, and for indoors I used vet’s best brand. Also I’m not sure what country you’re in but here in the US, nursery, daycare, and school workers are by law mandatory reporters. If they see fleas in her hair it will get reported to CPS as unhealthy living conditions.

I would say treat the pets and then exterminate the house. Wash all your clothes and baby's clothes. Wash and maybe deep condition daughter's hair and yours too. If you need help on what products to use for your hair maybe talk to a dermatologist or even consult your gp. Good luck hun

We bought a house and because the animals had moved out with the lady that sold the house, the fleas bit us because there was nothing else for them to live off, we had to have the council round twice before they were fully exterminated, the council sprayed, absolutely everything they could our mattress, and all of the floors etc. we were told to wash absolutely all of our stuff, hot, with detergent. They can lay eggs and lay dormant for a year or two and then the cycle can start all over again. It’s quite hard work but definitely needs getting on top of! if you’re going to keep animals it’s really important to keep on top of their treatment to prevent them spreading into your home. It’s true that if animals are there they will tend to only choose to live on them, but obviously it’s not nice for your animals to have them either, I hope you manage to get it sorted. I remember a nightmare it was until we got on top of it and it wasn’t nice when we were getting bitten!
