Mom of 2

Please tell me it gets easier being a mom of 2!

I have a 5 yr old girl and a 6 month old boy and it goes without saying that I love them more than anything. I have mum guilt for even thinking this but it was so much easier as a mum of 1. My 5 yr old is very independent for her age and life was easy with just her 😂.

I now have a grizzly 6 month old and I'm struggling with giving them both of my time. I underestimated how hard it would be with two.

Please tell me it gets easier with having two! They're both amazing kids but I just don't get a minute to myself all day!

Feel like I could have written this myself! I've got a 6 year old and nearly 6 month old and I definitely underestimated how much of an adjustment it would be. Some days I feel like we're finally finding a routine and then the next day, it's back to square one 🙈

I've got a 6 year old autistic boy (very high functioning) and a clingy girl who won't take bottles currently.only breast! It must get easier as people have 3 kids so at some point these hellish days must be a distant memory 🤣

it does 😩

I think I had just got so used to having that little bit of freedom. My eldest can play on her own if needed and see to herself with most things, me and my husband had a abit of 'us' time when she's doing her schools clubs, and now it's back to the start! But I know they're not young forever and before I know it, my second baby will be at his stage too.

My son is 6 years and my girl is 6 months and it was definitely easier with the one who’s school aged. I dreaded the going back to square one but also knows time flies. It helps that my son is helpful with the baby. It melts my heart how much he loves her but he likes to wake her up or just bit careless with making noises and just barging in.

Does your 5 year old go to school? That’s one of the perks of having school aged older child at least you only have the baby to look after during the day. Don’t know how mums with toddlers to manage.

Hopefully you have a spouse or partner who helps or friends and family. Or you can go to the gym with a crèche.

Pretty much have to schedule no kids time really.

Thankfully my 6 year old can be independent but I do feel guilty when he’s set aside since the baby is needier so while baby is not mobile yet, we still go out based on the 6 year old’s needs. We go out with his friends doing activities he likes. It’ll be harder when they’re older
