When I was at the hospital my nurses told me to only let me baby eat around 2 ounces. When I saw the pediatrician a few days ago he told me that was wrong and to let the baby eat however much they want. She’ll let you know when she’s full! My boy is 10 days old and is eating around 3 ounces every feed.

My baby is a week old-- he's doing around 2.5- 3 oz per feeding. We feed every 2- 3 hours and watch for hunger cues. If he's hungry an hour later, I give him another oz.

This thread is making me feel so much better! My son is 10 days and eats 3oz a feeding every 2-3 hours. We watch for hunger cues and let him decide when he’s done. He was also born at 9lbs 15oz so I think his size might play in too. I’ve been constantly worried about over feeding

My son is 11 day old eats 3 oz about to be almost 4oz . at the hospital they said no more than 2oz and every two -three hours. His pediatrician said he eats fine and it’s ok for him to sleep more than 3 hours without eating. Baby wakes up when he’s hungry and it’s true!
babywill also let you know when they are full! My son spits it out and shuts his mouth 🤣
