Hi everyone.
I am 32 weeks and a day pregnant and I have noticed the last night or two that my feet are swollen.
Do I need to contact my midwife tomorrow or wait to see how it is in the next few days?

Swollen feet and ankles are normal during pregnancy since you have so much extra fluids/extra blood volume. You can get compression socks to help and keep your feet elevated as much as you can.

Definitely contact midwife ASAP. Yes it can be normal but if its come on suddenly it could also be a sign of pre eclampsia

When your next appointment? Elevate high up, not just putting feet up a little. Towards end of pregnancy your feet are gonna be swollen a lot more at times. My feet are just about always swollen (I’m 37 weeks) and my midwife checked it all out and said it’s one the not so fun parts of pregnancy.

Also compression socks are huge!! What are you doing to help the swelling?

Inform your doctor ,Feet elevation, check bp if you have a machine at home. Try to decrease the time you spend standing and always have a second chair to elevate your feet while sitting. Also please be alert if you have constant headaches
