Does anyone know if your still eligible for 30hrs childcare me and my husband work but we have started universal credit while I’m on maternity leave will we still be eligible worried it will get cancelled before I’m due back to work and my son will stop going mid term

You're still employed when you're on maternity leave so it works the same. I don't qualify for universal credit but we've been using the free hours while I've been on maternity leave.

sorry my question wasnt quite clear im more concerned that because we have applied for universal credit will this affect the amount of hours we are eligible for

I don't think so. If anything it'll entitle you to up to 85% of the money you pay for childcare back.

I don’t think 30 hours is until Sept 25. It’s 15 hours from Sept 24 for those 9 months & over. Only for 39 weeks of the year, but I think you can still get tax fee childcare alongside x

Yeah, you’ve been able to get 30 hours for 3 year olds for a few years now but you have to have specific circumstances
