Omeprazole side effects
Baby poo pic! Sorry!
Hiya all, my 3 month old has had bad reflux since birth and recently gaviscon wasn’t as effective so was prescribed omeprazole, we are on day 4 of giving it in the morning and she had the worst smelling black/dark green liquid poo I’ve ever seen. Is this normal? Going to call the doctor in the morning but wondered if anyone else had something similar. Did it get better or is this a sign something is going wrong in her gut because of the meds.

I've never seen that colour before, although I have seen green poo. Is your baby on milk free formula? As that can change the colour.
I do agree with you though, definitely speak to your GP for reassurance.
This is the same as my baby's poo but hers went like it after she started similac high energy formula. Dietician says it's fine.
That's exactly the same as my baby's poo - she is on omeprazole too
