Adhd assessment wait times?
Hey! So we believe our son has adhd and/or autism, and the last few days have really drilled that in 😫
For anyone with a child who has been diagnosed, how long did it take, and what support were you given?

The issue is he's only 4 so I don't know if they'll even test him for it. He's become so much these past few weeks and idk what else I can do to help him and us
I got referred june 2023 by dec 2023 I had long form to fill so did school sent tha off immediately I call them Feb 2024 as not heard nothing women said wait time frl. Being refers Cs take up to 18-24 months befor they contact
At school he gets taken out pe to do social stuff with school autism teacher but I had to push school to fo something for time being
It’s about 18 months wait under BCC my son was diagnosed for both in 2 seperate occasions they won’t diagnose your son with adhd before 5 and if they do won’t medicate until 6 unless he’s on verge of being excluded from school. Also above someone has put your get an ehcp good luck they are so hard to get my son is very lucky the sen at school are brilliant he has everything he needs for his needs and really doesn’t struggle as much now he’s medicated
