Hi you probably should go to the ER, I had high blood pressure before getting pregnant and I check it twice daily my doctor told me to go to the ER once my blood pressure hits 160/110

I went to the ER when my blood pressure hit 160/ 90

Take it in 10 minutes ... just sit there ... of its not going down I would go... what made you check your bp? Are you having any other symptoms?

But I would go to the hospital so they can rule out anything major. It's safer for you and baby that way .

I would call your nurse line, that is definitely elevated. I had preeclampsia with my first pregnancy so we are watching everything this time, and that is on the higher end of the okay range. Dizziness is very common with pregnancy,I've had it since 6 weeks where I'm almost fall over. I would lay down for 10 to 15 minutes and see if it changes.

Not normal. That is high. Make sure you were sitting still for five minutes and take it. Most likely you will need to go to the ER.

I went to the ER I was dehydrated but also thwrws no actual reason as to why my bmi is so high .
They’re thinking I may have preclampsja but not sure doctor told me to monitor until my next appt in 2 wks as of now it’s 170 / 84 what’s normal range ???

I figured you might be dehydrated your pulse was elevated. But the big thing was the elevated blood pressure to me

yes they’re telling me since I have headaches ,dizziness and swelling it can be more than that but it’s been fluctuating I feel better on. Bed rest ☹️

@Ninieee did they test your urine? That's the big sign for preeclampsia is the level of protein with elevated BP that doesn't budge.

@Ninieee I'm glad you are doing better but 170/84 is still high if it's consistent. Normal range would be anything under 140/80 for pregnancy

but they still sent you home? Did they do labs?

did labs said levels were mostly okay .. but didn’t test me for preeclampsia

how do you know they didn’t test you for preeclampsia? I’m so baffled by this.

not to scare you but I’m just being real. If your blood pressure is consistently that high, the baby isn’t getting proper blood flow and it can be very dangerous. I hope it came down. 🙏🏻

what’s your most recent BP reading? Sit completely still with your feet uncrossed and flat on the floor for five minutes. Then take your blood pressure and stay still when taking it.

With what you shared if I was you I would find a different hospital and find a different doctor fast immediately

@Ninieee preeclampsia is tested with blood and urine and there is no one test is a combination of different levels. You can message me if you have questions about Preeclampsia. I had it with my daughter and spent 3 years researching it and talking with 4 different OBs and MFMs about it since I had it with my daughter and now at risk again with this pregnancy.

I do ! I just went to the hospital I’m suppose to “deliver” at

they never even mentioned preclmapsia and said to follow up with my doctor 😭who was on call at the hospital they put me in the ER section when im over 20weeks instead of checking me in ..

they did it showed protein on my test results but they said my levels were fine “
