Shrinking baby clothes😫

What temp do you guys wash your babies clothes in? And for how long! I feel like a brand new sleepsuit is huge on him, and for some reason after 1 wash I’m squeezing it on him!

I do a 30 degree wash on them, think it's 28 mins. They still seem to shrink šŸ™ƒ

I do 60 for an hour, I don’t want to insult but do you iron them once they are dry? When my boy was a newborn I never used to and had this issue and my mum actually took them all and ironed them and it was like manic they fit again šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Just on cold idk what the temp is at can any about of length. I’ve done a quick wash or a regular wash

@Shannon I don’t even own an ironšŸ™ˆ good point though! @Amy I did a 40 degree wash today and I swear the sleep suits have halved in lengthšŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø @Gabrielle thank you, I’ll try a shorter wash on a colder temp!

Just make sure it’s like fully washed. If it has poop on it then make sure it’s like a normal wash that’ll really clean it. But I have shrunk stuff just because I did it warmer or I dried it too hot. So just make sure everything is cool. If you have a dryer then do it on low heat

I wash at 30 for a little over an hour (40 if poo stains). I also use Napisan in every wash for killing bacteria and removing stains.

I wash in 30 or 40 (depends if it is me or my partner setting the wash off) with dettol antibacterial stuff just to make sure any poopmageddons are fully cleaned. And yes everything does seem to shrink, some brands are a lot worse than others. We also tumble dry all our clothes as we just don't have the space to line dry it all, we do it on delicates to get low temps.

I wash on 40 on a mixed cycle that takes an hour and a half. Do you tumble dry them? I found when I tumble dried them they came out smaller but they are fine if I dry them on the airer
