Reducing feeds

Hey every baby is different so if you don’t think your little one is ready to reduce bottles then don’t my little girl still has between 3 to 4 bottles in a 24 hour period 7oz each bottle I tried to reduce the amount she has but she wakes up in the night hungry so I know she isn’t ready to reduce her amount just yet and she also has 3 meals a day and snacks x

I am growing a dislike towards HVs slowly.
If you don’t want to drop bottles because u think your baby isn’t ready, dont.
My 10 months old girl nurses 3-4 times a day and having her meals. And i am not changing it because some stranger wants to 🤦🏽‍♀️

Milk is supposed to be a baby’s main source for the first year and food is fun. HV can only give advice you don’t need to do what she tells u. You know ur baby best if they are ready or not. X

I got the opposite advice from my HV today who said baby will naturally drop the bottles when ready so I don't need to adjust number of bottles unless my little boy stops wanting them.. he is currently on 4 a day x

2 bottles!?!? I swear HV give such bad advice sometimes. My friend was told 3 bottles for her 10 month old.
We have only went down to 3 bottles this week (9.5 month old) and I already feel bad and feel like he misses his 10 o'clock bottle but he is eating a lot more and finishing his bottles.

Isn’t it more about the volume than amount of bottles? The guidance is I think around 400ml for 10-12 months. Mine has a bottle before bed and either during night or first thing in the morning and that comes to 400ml, so I don’t offer during the day anymore as he’s not interested anyway
