So I took my son to Clark’s today for his first shoes..

He measured about 6.
He’s 16months. When the lady put the shoes on him she tried 51/2 to see as the ones I wanted didn’t have 6. His feet didn’t fit in it the we tried another paid which was a 6 but he had quite some space still and also he was curling his toes so she suggested to wait as even though he’s walking it doesn’t look like he’s ready for shoes yet :/

Slightly disappointed but we will get there

Any words of encouragement/advice/tips are welcomed.

If he isnt ready he could wear the pre walker type shoes/sock things until he stops curling his toes. Im sure he will get there

Mines been walking since 11 months but I’ve got her a pair of slippers to wear until recently when I started putting her in proper shoes. Maybe you could try some soft slippers?
