Feet/leg swelling in 3rd trimester

Has anyone been dealing with swelling in their feet/legs in the 3rd trimester?

I’m 34 weeks and some days and I noticed that my legs and feet were swollen at the end of the day and I woke up to them still swollen.

Any tips to help with this?

Whew yes!! I’m 38 weeks Tuesday and will also be delivering Tuesday. I noticed this about two weeks ago and it’s been painful. The best thing that has helped me is elevating my feet as much as possible and wearing compression socks!

wishing you a safe smooth quick delivery! Thanks so much for the tips. Will definitely be getting some compression socks and elevating my feet as much as possible.

Compression socks and elevation and keep on top of your hydration!

Oh my god yes. It started around 25 weeks and it got bad around week 30. I’m now 35 weeks and it’s gotten to be soooo unbearable and painful and absolutely nothing helps. Can’t walk/sleep, compression socks and elevating doesn’t do a thing. All my doctor can offer me is his sympathy he says 😂😂😂

oh gosh that sounds absolutely horrible! I’ve also learned that nettle tea can help with reduce swelling and increasing blood flow and is actually helpful for labor so a good thing to drink during your last couple of weeks! Maybe that will help you.

I haven’t heard of that but will definitely look into it, thank you!!

Just know that you’re not alone, it sucks, but it’s bearable and also it’ll be over one day :)

Check your blood pressure if you can! I had sudden onset preeclampsia and that was my first warning sign before my baby boy was delivered at 34+2. It’s better to be sure it’s just swelling than a sign of something more serious.
