Mumma needs some help!

Any pelvic floor/ bladder control advice.

I had a 1 hour labour ( first baby) with no injuries or pain relief ( i don’t know if this makes a difference)

I have such a bad cough, to the point I’m been sick I’m coughing that much but I can’t take much as I’m breast feeding. Main issue, I keep dribbling and it’s making me so self conscious

Any tips, advice, ANYTHING!!

TIA

It may not be just your pelvic floor but your abs too. Your core muscles particularly the deep core muscles get weak during pregnancy. If you have any diastastis recti (abdominal separation) or just a weak core in general that could cause the leaking. I have a pretty strong pelvic floor and didn’t have much abdominal separation but the muscles are much weaker than before and my abs weren’t that strong to begin with. While I don’t leak it does feel like my uterus will fall out every time I sneeze. Maybe try some deep core exercises there is a lady on YouTube called mommymango she has a bunch of short exercises that can help. Also try doing and holding a kegal when you cough or sneeze it’s not a cure but will help a little with the leaking while you heal your pelvic floor and core (it’s what I do).

Pelvic floor exercises could help. I was advised to continue them by the physiotherapist in the hospital after I gave birth.
