Your body does a pretty good job filtering it, so it’d only really be a problem if you’re smoking like A LOT, I’m a light weight (I can make a .8 blunt last me a week 😩) so I’m pretty sure I’m good personally but you can always test your milk with the kits from dollar tree

All the current research says that THC specifically is stored in fat cells, which is exactly what breast milk is made of. As a result, it actually takes longer to filter out than alcohol or caffeine, still yielding trace amounts up to 5 days after partaking. I found all of this information quite unfortunate to learn, and am planning on storing up sober milk to feed baby for the days following any smoking. Ultimately it’s a personal decision, and maternal mental health matters too, but I would take caution and also look up the laws in your state, as some states consider testing positive to be child abuse (not that you would likely get caught for it). There isn’t actually much research about how it actually affects the babies consuming the breastmilk, and a lot of advocates argue that it doesn’t hurt development, but there’s not much scientific research on either side of this question yet.

Check out bluntblowinmama on IG. We have cannabinoids in our breast milk naturally, and the body does a good job filtering it out before it gets to baby. Personally I think all will be fine. But it’s personal choice

My doctor said an absolute no. Yes there's cannabinoids in breast milk but so is oxytocin and it's so small to the point it doesn't have a major effect. But straight consumption is completely different.
