Does anyone else’s 2yo get drenched when they nap or at night? My son just turned 2 and he’s being doing this since he was a few months, but it seems to not go away like iv heard it should…
The sheets under him are soaked, his clothes soaked, hair looks like he just showered, will start beading from his head.
He’s had a chronic cough for months now. Just went to the doctor and forgot to bring up the sweating but brought up the cough which they say is normal. Idk It’s so much sweat..
Please tell me this is normal. Im going to call and ask regardless but I am worried it’s more. He just started daycare not even 6 months ago and is always sick. But the sweating has been since he was a few months old and just seems off.

Maybe put him just a onsie ? Maybe put a fan towards him ? And
See if it makes a difference

He sleeps in a diaper with a fan pointed at him😩 with the window open at times too. He refuses a blanket usually. I’m in jersey so it’s not warm rn. At first it was in the summer we noticed this. We didn’t have the best ac and it was super hot the summer after he was born. But it’s been through both winters and now I’m growing concerned.

ok maybe the mattress! I swear my mattress makes me swear like this I also
Have toOpen the window were in the Bronx I’m about to purchase a new one with taxes and spend a good amount on a good one! But If not switch the doctor cause that is concerning

Is it only at night? If not I'd bring him to see a dermatologist.

Well even if it's only night. He should be seen by derm

it’s whenever he sleeps! At nap time or at night! He’s been to a derm for his heat rashes and they weren’t concerned but he still gets them! I’ll have to make an apt and bring it up to his doctor

our mattress is a cool foam mattress. My fiancé and I are both in multiple blankets while he’s sprawled out kicking them off anytime his skin feels cold and we put one on. It’s bizarre

@Chelsea did they discuss HH with you? I was thinking of Hyperhidrosis bc I had the same issue myself and that's what I was going through. Those exact symptoms

I actually have heard of that before but no I actually keep forgetting to bring it up to his doctor because it’s literally so “normal” for us atp and when he’s sick it’s like I focus on all the “un normal” symptoms and forget to mention those. I’m going to call Monday and see what they say.

I also suspect he has autism like his dad and I and have read that temperature regulation could be a symptom and I also have adhd his dad thinks he has adhd as well so I assume our son does too, and I just googled hh after your comment and apparently it’s common with adhd. But I used to never sweat as a kid or adult until I got pregnant. Now I do but barley. But I do suspect possible EDS for me and I have heard that sweating to much or not at all is a symptom. Very interesting. I wouldn’t have thought about HH unless you said something so thank you!

Makes sense. It took me a while to remember to ask the Dr too bc it became so normal so I completely understand.
Is it a symptom of ADHD? I didn't even know this and I have ADHD 😅. So interesting! HH is weird but so easily treated once diagnosed.
I hope they find out to at least release that one thing off your shoulders!
NP! Good luck!

Two is when my nephew was tested for Autism. Just don't forget to write down everything you notice because they asked so many questions during the interviews I think it will help (if you decide to get him tested later)

I just came across it while looking up HH! I didn’t know either! Thank you! I appreciate it

I actually am talking to the doctor about autism at his 2 year checkup on the 3rd. I will mention this for sure. I have everything else written down so I’ll write this too, thank you!
Yes it’s so lengthy and I have the PDA subtype so it goes missed most of the time so I’m hoping they listen.
