Had a cold for 2 weeks
Sooo, I have a cold Iv had it for like 2 weeks, I’m nearly 6 months pregnant, and it won’t budge, my throat feels raw and I have a pressure headache which is causing me to have nose bleeds. I have a toddler so I also haven’t slept properly in a while. I basically feel run down as hell. My body is telling me to rest but my brain is telling me to get to work because of the ‘calling in sick guilt’
Has anyone else felt poorly and felt like they can’t shake it. Normally a cold wouldn’t bother me at all but honestly I feel wiped out.

Same here, mine has turned out to be a sinus infection and I have all of your symptoms! Try and see a doctor for a nose spray or antibiotics, I found nasal rinse with a syringe and warm salt water helped loads ( is disgusting but helps!) x
When you are pregnant you are at a high risk of being sick as your immune system is not working as normal. Additionally, it sounds like you have a lot going on so your body is telling you to call in sick for the sake of you and both of your babies.
I have had this and took me and my three year old daughter four weeks to get over it think it’s a virus that’s defo done it’s rounds and the throat feeling so raw been awful and being 20 weeks at the time it does get fed up mode especially when you can’t take much.
If you’re having nose bleeds from pressure headaches defo call 111 or go to your Gp for sure
And remember you’re 6 months pregnant and not well you should never be guilt tripped to call in sick at work when you’re poorly as will take longer to recover if you don’t have this chance / opportunity to rest / take a brea.

Thank you ladies…. I honestly felt like I just needed someone to say it’s okay to rest. Ringing in sick. Staying in bed. Drinking hot honey and lemon! And I defo think a trip to the doctors on Monday is needed. My little one is also poorly so I think we just keep giving it back to each other 😫
