Fan on sick babies

Hi so my 9 month old is sick with a fever of 101.7 I’ve already called the nurse line at her doctors office so I know what to do. She sleeps in our room and we have a fan in our room but my MIL said that a fan on a sick baby can kill them and I just wanna know is that true? I want to cool her off and thought the fan would be a good idea

Sorry to hear your little one is feeling under the weather 😢During vaccinations our GPs advised if a fever where to arise is
Nurofen brings down temperatures very quickly. (give dosage accordingly weight baby/back of bottle)
And a Lukewarm water bath (not cold)
Give Lots of fluids
Dress lightly (As babies are not yet able to regulate their own body temperature you have to make sure that excess heat caused by the fever can easily be evacuated)
Check temp regularly.
