Preeclampsia

Anyone else higher risk of developing preeclampsia? I’m so scared of getting it, it’s crazy! I’m 22 weeks and it’s all I can think about 😞

It’s so easy to get caught up in all the what ifs and maybes but it’s stress and worry you don’t need. See it as a small possibility and just try to keep a rational head on. Everything is going to be okay whatever happens. Sending love ❤️❤️

@Poppy thank you sweetie, I needed to hear that! You’re 100% right, positive thoughts from now on! 💖💖

You got this! One day at a time, and whatever happens you will get though it!! ❤️❤️

@Poppy I really appreciate your positivity girl, you’ve honestly made me feel a lot better - I’ll be okay! 🥰💖

I had pre-eclampsia with my pregnancy, he just came a bit sooner than expected. Your doctor will tell you what is necessary but just take it easy - I was told to but ended up feeling guilty that things weren't being done around the house so did it myself and in turn made it worse. Rest and know it will work out 💕

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, have bare minimum fast food and soda intake, drink milk, do light exercises/stretching, drink lots of water, and try to pick up a calming hobby like coloring or sewing. Talk to your doctor about any pain or discomfort but also keep your own journal so you can recognize if there are any patterns that are influenced by daily activity or diet. Try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible, as long as you make your regular appointments and take care of yourself you will do great. Your LO will probably be a little early, mine was a month early and I had preeclampsia. My advice is to also pack a labor bag with travel size hygiene stuff. I was in the hospital for about a week total.

I’m high risk cos of low Papp-A hormone but over 36weeks pregnant now and no sign of it, try not stress you could easily not develop it all just precautions x

Thanks girls, that’s so reassuring! I appreciate the advice also, I’ll do my best to take it easy - I get what’s it’s like having the need to do things around the house lol I’ll try to go on regular walks too and keep up the water intake! I’ll bare in mind the labour bag also! Knowing you’ve all gone/going through it makes me feel a sense of comfort because you’re all just fine! Really appreciate it girls 💖
