Any nurses here?
I have been a school nurse for almost 10 years. I recently had a mental breakdown and decided to take two weeks off of work. I feel so relieved that I don’t need to go back for at least two weeks. I have med surg tele experience over 10 years ago. I was thinking about going back night shift doing travel nursing in Brooklyn. I still remember a lot from my med surg days. My husband don’t think I can just jump back into it. What do you nurses think? Do you think I can still handle it?

@Somarha my med surg experience is from 10 years ago. I don’t know if they will still hire me with no recent experience. I had 3 years of med surg and tele experience.
I just want something different for now. I am getting sick of school nursing
School nurse here as well in Downtown BK. You can absolutely get back into the groove of medsurg or telemetry especially since you have 10 years worth of experience. Out of curiosity what makes you want to leave an environment that isn't so strenuous and jump into such a fast paced environment, that can at times seem unrewarding?
