Cleaning second hand Snuzpod 4

Has anyone been able to fully dismantle a second hand Snuzpod 4? I want to wash the fabric in the bath (the bit that has plastic in so recommends to sponge clean and can't go in the washing machine) but I can't detach the bit I've circled in the picture.

Has anyone been able to do this? Should I just sponge clean? It's a bit grubby...

I've bought a new mattress for it.

You can buy new fabric so it must be possible!

From someone who's just built one of these new, the bit you've circled (the screw type part on the end) should be fixed inside the wooden frame that it's come out of. There's a thin metal rod that slides through the fabric and screws into that part in the wood. So rather than the rod unscrewing from the frame, it looks like it's pulled out the fixing. Maybe with some pliers and a good grip on the rod you can screw the end part off, put that but back into the wood and then you should be able to slide the rod out of the fabric?
