Does it make sense to take a job at 7th month pregnanacy?
I've been applying for years to find a role that suits my skills, never heard a call back and now when I'm in my 7th month first time pregnant I get 2 call backs for this great role. I would've taken it without a thought before but now I'm thinking this is a bad time to commit to a job. I don't wana lose this opportunity but maybe they won't hire me if im having a baby soon. I don't know. Thoughts??

Ive had this question too but i asked around to family and they say that if you tell them your pregnant before an interview they could decide to not pick you but if they decide that after the interview its "against the law" i think 🤔 definitely look it up tho
Depends what country your based on. You can't be discriminated against in the UK on the basis of being pregnant x
@Elizabeth but the question is will i be able to commit to a job at 7th month and ask for maternity just 2 months later and then working with a newborn. The timing is not ideal or am i overthinking?
I would continue in the process personally - if anything, it's a network opportunity in your sector and even if the timing weren't right currently, there is no reason why those opportunities won't come back later. But you also never know - I've worked for a household name who have offered roles to ladies knowing they're expecting. And if you don't try, there are no odds at all that you'd be successful.
If you were to be successful, it depends on local laws regarding mat leave. Most companies won't offer mat leave, and certainly, in the UK, you won't be entitled to statutory pay.
Have you considered the support you have around you who would be able to help with childcare when you return back? X
I was wondering this too, but I’m due next month and ik they gone look at me crazy trying to take time off just stating
