Genetic testing
Hi all,
I am currently 10 weeks with my rainbow baby, can someone please explain when the downs and Edward’s syndrome tests happens and how long results take.
I feel like I really can’t relax until after this.

Results generally come back in 1-2 weeks
Just did the bloods now at 13 weeks, she said it takes up to 5 working days
You’ll have the blood test at your first scan x
They did mines at 12 weeks and the results took two weeks to come back
Did mine right at 10 weeks and results came back in 3 days
I was told I would hear in 3 days if it was bad news, but otherwise a letter within 2 weeks. They did the test at the 12 week scan
I think you can get it done anywhere around 11-13 weeks. my results took almost a week to come back because they had to ship my blood to a facility in NC or somewhere to get tested.
