I got pregnant in February 2023 and I was going to school full time and working full time. However, I dropped both because I was sleeping too much, not eating, extremely tired … I didn’t want to leave my bed. I worked until 6am then had a LAB at 8am… then other classes… I find out I was pregnant late march which is around the time I dropped everything.
Anyways, I move in with my boyfriend and his parents in May and he said 500$/month for rent and I’m like whatever … I’ll find a job and I had $ saved up. I never found a job that would hire a pregnant lady 😣 so August I started asking my mom for $ for the rent. It’s ridiculous. I had my baby in November…. I filed EDD for my bf and he still made me pay even though he got 5k. Im looking for a job but I am so mad at how I was treated. I could have left with my mom 7 hours away from my bf but at least she would have supported me. She actually helps me. The first 2 weeks after I gave birth… no one helped me. My in laws are just taking my $ while I’m raising their grandson with NO help. I don’t understand how my in laws do it. My in laws never stock up the fridge with food I was always throwing up throughout my pregnancy from hunger… i don’t buy myself anything nice because I don’t want to take my moms $. My in laws are always going to the casino and buying themselves things and never home to help me out. I just want to shower. Also I have 3k in credit card debt . I am so stressed. If I moved with my mom none of this would have happened. That debt would have been gone and I could easily find a job with the support of my mother who helps me clean, cook, watch the baby while I apply. I would have paid her back. I feel bad leaving my bf… he loves his son.

I would leave for your moms as well. You need support from those who will give it, and it looks like you're not getting it now. I'm sure he loves his son, but he can go and visit. I'm sure leaving will mean that he will get to take baby at times without you there. Talk to him. Tell him how you're feeling, and maybe just say that you're going to go to your moms bc you can't afford to pay rent right now. I hope everything works out! You need to take care of you as well! Whatever way that means.

Move and if your bf cares he’ll come too

I agree with the other comments. Tell him how you feel like you have little to no support & can't afford to pay rent anymore. You helped him get all that money & he couldn't help you out with the rent??? Go where you feel supported. If he really loves yall he will follow
I help his parents out all the time … I once took like an hour or 2 doing an exam for my father in law after “watching” videos (they were just playing in the background ) for his work and he got $1250 as a bonus and gave me nothing :)
My in laws said they would take me to court and I have a bad record. I got a dui 2 years ago. I don’t drink anymore because I love my baby. My son is everything to me and I don’t want to lose him.
Sorry for ranting. I have no one to talk to or help me out since I moved for college 7 hours away from home. I’m not used to being reliant on others but having a baby… takes a village. No doubt about it. Thank you all for replying. I thought I was just over reacting… God bless y’all and your little angels 👼
for custody of my son

Girl get to your moms house immediately
Call your mom tell her they are trying to take your son if you leave and when you get to your moms file for full custody
Do not stay. It may hurt to leave but you will be much happier once you are around your support system.
If your boyfriend isn’t even caring that his parents are threatening to file for custody of your son. You need to go
Do what is best for you and your child
Your boyfriend will come with you if he truly cares about you and his son and if he doesn’t and stays with his parents you’re better off far away from him for your sanity.
He can still visit his son and spend time with him but that doesn’t mean you have to stay in such a miserable place.
