Would you leave toddler (2.5) in a house , say to step out very quick to pick up post or something … like for 3 mins?
I did when i went to bathroom for example, but doors would be open.
My husband does this i noticed- when he goes to smoke for example.
I wouldn’t unless i see him on camera.
I am not a worrier but just came across my head as he gave him banana and went outside. I told him not to do it. Or am i overreacting?

I think it’s fine as long as your toddler is in a safe environment out of harms way.
When I need to go to toilet or go upstairs to quickly get something I do this.

Personally I do for a minute or two for example taking the rubbish outside. My bins are just behind the gate near the front door. Or to get something out of my car which is just parked on the drive or to put the pram up outside ready for the school run.

I don't personally - unless it's literally 30 seconds. However this is because of my dog. I trust my dog but my LG keeps pulling his tail, laying all over him etc and I keep thinking there's only so much he will take 🙈

My garden is quite large, and I have at times left him sleeping or even watching TV while I have got to shut my chickens up when it gets dark, which would literally take me 3 minutes. I would never leave the property though and when asleep would have the camera with me. I hate doing it when he's awake and prefer to get him to come with me. But sometimes he absolutely refuses and it has to be done so I just run.

I leave her to nip in the kitchen and to the downstairs loo but I take the dog with me and tell her what I am doing. I think you have to judge the situation and whether they are safe where they are. ☺️

I leave him to take the rubbish out/something from the car on the driveway etc. also to go to toilet. I have also started leaving him so I can shower. Baby gates and other doors shut upstairs and bathroom door open. He’s happy playing in his room and is for less than 10 minutes. I suppose it depends on the environment/pets/how your child is really. Wouldn’t leave him longer than a quick shower though

I let me girl play in a toy room/roam downstairs freely.. if it’s too quiet for too long I’ll go in and check.

You certainly are overreacting. My daughter can play independently and I can leave her alone up to 30 minutes and I can go do something else while she plays. I do come by and check on her every 5-10 minutes just to make sure she’s okay, but independence is encouraged. Nothing wrong with that. I’m guessing you haven’t taken her to nursery yet.

I leave LO downstairs (no pets) whilst I pop upstairs to hang washing or strip the beds etc. she’ll happily play or watch TV. Also go out to the car or garage when I need something x

I can go in the shower and leave my daughter in the living room, I wouldn’t give her something to eat and then leave her though and she’s a fairly good kid. The bathroom door is open, but il come downstairs and she’s not moved 😂
