I am putting a big discrimination grievance together and there are a couple of points where I believe my HR department failed/gave wrong advice and I would appreciate if I could ask someone about it (acas is already involved in part of it, but theyre kinda slow right now)

Hiya. I have 12 years management experience and I am doing my HR degree. I am not an expert but feel free to message me. I would def hold out for ACAS too though, as they will carry weight with any case you have. You can also access the cipd website for useful advice xx

Definitely recommend then Pregnant then Screwed advice line if it’s about maternity discrimination as the line is supported by HR professionals. Details are on their website!

I think they have a contact form too if you’d prefer to email them something through

Feel free to message me (not HR based, but worked in senior management positions, head of ops).

I also put together a discrimination/unfair dismissal grievance for my now ex employer. I talked with ACAS as well and an employment solicitor too.
I've tried a few times, but it's hard to get hold of them! I will keep trying
do you mind me asking, did you go to tribunal?

Didn’t, we just had a settlement agreemet, as they understood they’re in trouble. I managed to get a bit more than they initially offered, but depending on company, you could ask for anything in the agreement as going to tribunal would be very expensive and painful. My employment solicitor suggested 6 months wages, but I knew they wouldn’t as they’re on the bring of administration, so asked less

Many years experience in HR/ER, so feel free to drop me a message 🙂
I am looking for another job, but still working there. Not sure how I would go about injury to feeling internally.... Or do I leave it for next step, if whatever the outcome of grievance is?

Difficult to say, I think profesionals can advise on that, as this type of discrimination is difficult to prove.. for me it was very easy as it was just a redundancy and I had plenty of facts that it was unfair dismissal. Best of luck to you, and I hope you can find something better soon! 🖤
