Gums

Something disgusting happend. So whenever I woke up from my nap my mouth was really dry and I tasted blood but I assumed my lips cracked.

I went to the bathroom & check and it was a small blood clot swimming around my mouth…alsoooooo my gum in front of my bottom tooth was protruding(gum flap). I wanted to faint 😆

Has pregnancy affected your teeth/gums?

Yes, pregnancy hormones make you more susceptible to gum disease and gingivitis. It's important to keep up with the dentist during pregnancy for that reason. I also stepped up my oral care, was meticulous about flossing every day 😅

This happens to me frequently when I forget to put my Biotene in before sleeping. I also go to sleep with a thick layer of vasoline on my lips to prevent cracking. It helps, but be sure to brush your teeth when you wake up. Otherwise, I’ve noticed my mouth feels very gunky.
