Fertility Appointment Advice

My partner and I have an appointment in a couple of weeks for fertility, we have been told my partner has no sperm and we know I suffer with irregular periods. However, we got pregnant late last year (without trying) but had a miscarriage in Jan. We have been trying ever since but so far two cycles with no success. This obviously means my partner does have sperm but something still is stopping us catching. I have been off contraceptive since 2015 but we used sporadic protection until 2021.

I have tracked my BBT every day since, as well as LH levels however this month it hasn’t surged at all so I’m starting to think there is something wrong with me 😫 Any advice or questions we should be asking at our appointment? We don’t want to have to wait any longer to start trying!

Sorry for the long post, any advice is welcome! Thank you! ✨

Who said he has no sperm, and why? Clearly he does if you got pregnant. It could be that he has some sperm but hardly any, and you got very lucky. We have similar. At the fertility appointment they should do a new sperm test

He had Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when he was 9 and there was a chance the chemo meant he wouldn’t produce sperm when he grew up. He had a test in 2021 and the doctors confirmed he had none however we have since found out he should have had a second test to confirm this. As you have said he obviously does, which is now why we’re so confused.

It’s all just so frustrating. So many people around us are getting pregnant, we just want our turn 🥲

Ah i see! Yeah they normally do 2 tests 3 months apart in case of an anomoloy. But if there’s zero sperm then not sure how that’s an anomoly unless there was a blockage that then cleared ! Deffo get another test! Hopefully you will have your lucky break soon !
