Sleep advice?!

It was my babies third day at daycare. They said she took an hour and a half nap from 12:30 to 2pm which is usually what she does at home. But now it’s 6:16 and she is extremely exhausted and having a meltdown. I’m not sure what to do about bedtime. She usually falls asleep between 8:30-9:30. Do I put her to sleep now and risk her waking up for a few hours in the middle of the night tonight? Or do i let her have a nap until 7 and then wake her up? But I’m not sure if she’ll end up going to bed really late and messing up the sleep schedule we have. Or do I keep her awake a little while long? I’m not sure if I should do that option because then she’ll be overtired. What would you guys do in this situation?

For some reason for my baby sometimes when we put him down for bed at 7pm rather than 8:30-9, he ends up sleeping 12 hours, rather than sleeping for 9 hours when we put him down between 8:30-9

I’d def put her to sleep. As mentioned above, you’d probably be surprised in them sleeping more with an earlier bed time. With it being the third day of daycare I could see why she is so tired. That’s a big change and lots of stimulation if she wasn’t in daycare before.

You will mostly likely have to move bedtime up with her starting daycare. I’m not sure what her daily activity was before, but as someone who used to work at a daycare I would 80% guarantee that she’s way more active than she’s ever been both physically and mentally. Daycare is basically a 9-5 for the kids lol

@Bria that’s super helpful thank you! We’ll probably end up doing that! She hasn’t had a very easy time adjusting to being at daycare. I’m hopeful this next week will be better.
