Wait so we arent sterilizing bottles anymore?

I still am because daycare doesn't rinse them out and likes to keep the milk that's left in the bottles when I pick up 🤢

i’ll do bottles and pump parts if i use them. i wash his pacifiers in hot water with his dapple soap.

I dont do it as frequent as I did in the beginning but I deff still do it.

I sterilize bottles once a day at night. Kind of like a daily reset!!

Honestly, I only do it if her bottles don't get washed that day. I also still sterilize my pump parts

There are different recommendations based on the agency/country on when to stop sterilizing ranging from 3-12mo. At this age, baby is already putting many non sterile and even dirty items in his mouth, so what’s the point? As long as baby is generally healthy and not immunocompromised, sterilizing isn’t really needed.

I still sterilize baby's bottles and pacifiers, anything really to do with milk I will sterilize, I don't sterilize water bottles as much, one in a while Il give it a go, I don't sterilize bowls spoons or the tubs for storing food, hot water and soap is good enough

No, we stopped at 5 months... and actually is only recommended for the first 2 months. And she is not taking pacis now. I still stirilize the toys when I wash them but that is a few times a week.

Haha I’ve never been a sterilizer 🫣 I did in the beginning & when bottles are brand new but otherwise I just soak in boiling hot soapy water and hand wash.

I sterilize everything after one use! So uhmm yes lol atleast I still sterilize! Teething rings,toys,bottles,pacifier, all of the above lol

I don’t do it consistently anymore, i do it maybe once a week. I don’t sterilize or wash pacis if they fall in our house but I’ll sterilize if they hit the street or sidewalk when we are out 🤪 so don’t be taking advice from me lol

@Tara Same. I feel like milk breeds bacteria, so we still sterilize- but binkies & water bottles just get washed 🤷‍♀️
