How when do you give water to your baby ?

I have an open cup like the one in the picture can I use it ?

Yes, but be careful not to pour too much and have a big ready until baby learns not too spill. Doidy cups are super helpful for slow pouring. Xx

I have done the open cup with both my boys from 6 months and I totally recommend it. Weaning is messy anyways so might as well get the hang of drinking from an open cup. Babies are smarter than we think sometimes, plus that way you don’t have to “wean” them from sippy cups in the future. And I do a little bit of water when I offer him food which I started at 6 months. Like a couple sips worth, not much.

We use an open cup like one of those that's shot glass size. I don't think he actually swallows much yet so I'm not worried 😂 I offer it after every weaning session so once or twice per day - it's more about the practice than satisfying thirst, if he seems genuinely thirsty I just pop him on the boob x

completely agree! My boy is 6 months and loves taking sips from an open cup (can’t do it by himself of course) and yep it gets messy and wet but hey ho! X
