🥵 HOT 🔥

Omg I really need help here- I live at my mums with my partner and 8 month old son and we share the top floor which is like an attic conversion. In the winter we had THICK insulation put in the walls and I’ve been dreading the warmer weather since. Our room tonight, even with the windows wide open in lovely London is 23 degrees. I AM SWEATING AND SMELL SO BAD 😭 but I am worried for my son to be in such horrible heat, does anyone know or can recommend any amazing air conditioning plug ins or fans that will turn my room to ICE ❄️ for now and for the summer as I’m crying at the thought ( our room was 38 degrees last summer and that was without the insulation )

I looked at getting the Dyson fan but I’ve not heard great reviews ? HELLLLLLP PLLLLEEEEAAAASEEEEE

I have a Dyson fan and to be honest, it doesn’t cool you off unless it’s pointing directly on your skin. The osolating function is pretty much useless if you’re looking to cool down an entire room that is already hot.

Is it possible to have a ceiling fan installed? Oe maybe a medium sized fan with a bowl of ice in front of it? I’ve heard that could be a good hack. I’m sorry I don’t have many suggestions as far as fans

could you maybe get a ac unit? They also make portable ac units! I Would look into those or maybe a couple fans??

I bought this arctic freeze portable air conditioner.. I would buy a larger size. It WORKS. you just freeze the tray & it works for 8-10 hours (says 12+) but that's my honest review.

I live in a 4 story skinny but very tall townhome. Our bedrooms are on the 3rd floor lol my daughters room in particular.. the AC unit doesn't really reach. We found out from the landlord (thank goodness she cared to have it looked at last summer) the AC unit was put in incorrectly so only a few spots get heating and cooling.. so basically.. my daughter's huge room with a loft as well.. can be 82°F in the summer with fans on. Right?

I bought these arctic portable AC things off Amazon last summer.. we also bought an AC vent boost for the floor from Amazon then we put the AC unit right by the vent. When that didn't work I put a box fan behind the AC (this thing plugs in your wall, you fill it with water daily/ clean as needed, & you freeze the filters.) the room.. that was always 72-82° dropped to 71°!!!! Which is cool❤️

I know it’s weird but IKEA’s cheapest air purifier cools down the room significantly as a side effect. We can’t open the windows much in my room (attic) because we have indoor cats, so we blast it on max and it actually makes the room too cold sometimes in summer.
