Anyone got any advice for getting my 9 month old to let me brush her teeth? 😭 she used to let me when she first got her bottom 2 teeth but won’t let me go near her with a toothbrush now she has more. Has anyone been in a similer situation and then sorted it? Any advice would be great! I’m feeling so guilty that her teeth aren’t getting a good brush because I physically can’t!!

Don’t know how receptive a 9 month old will be but my LO likes to make a monkey noise when we ask him “what does a monkey say?” He’ll go “ah ah ah” so his mouth is open.
You could try something similar.
brushing your teeth together and letting little one do her own? Not ideal but getting the toothpaste in is better than nothing
Could you get another toothbrush so she can have one and then you can sneak in and get the teeth
GOOD LUCK!!

My baby always wants to put his toothbrush in my mouth, so I pretend to brush my teeth with his brush then we take turns basically, I'll brush his for literally 3 seconds, then I pretend to do mine, then I go back to his. He hates it when I do his but me playing along like I'm doing mine too makes him laugh so it's enough of a distraction for now 😅

Have you tried this instead of a baby toothbrush? My daughter flat refuses a brush but loves this…

Nope, my boy won’t let us do it at the mo either. I think his 5th tooth is comig in x
Thanks so much everyone for the advice! I will definitely give all this a go 🤍
I was also thinking I wonder if it feels uncomfortable for her if she has other teeth coming through so this might be why!
