A bad mum

My baby is 3 months and I’m a student too. On the days where I need to go into uni I leave my baby with my mum. My son usually goes to bed by 10pm so that’s when I’m able to get some uni work done. I leave him in my mums room so at least someone is watching him while I go to the kitchen to get some work done.
Sometimes I leave him with my mum and go to the gym like 3 times a week and even the other day I went out with my friends for the first time in a while. I can’t help but think I’m being a bad mum to my baby. I don’t think I’m being as present as I should be.

You’re not a bad mum for leaving baby with a close relative who loves and cares for him. As long as your mum doesn’t mind, make the most of the help! In the long run baby will likely benefit from you getting a degree and the resulting career options that will open up for you.
