How did you ladies feel about your body PP? I was a big gym lover before having a baby and am finding it hard to find that confidence I once had. I'm struggling to find the time to exercise whilst looking after a baby and working. I try to get out the house on my days off to go on walks etc but I'm just finding it a lot harder to shift this extra weight. I remind myself everyday that this was the body that birthed my beautiful baby but can't help thinking of how my body was before x

I hate my body. I didn’t loose the weight I wanted from my first pregnancy before going into my second so now I feel disgusting. Both c-sections do have such a horrible apron belly.

I don't recognise myself anymore 🫠

I’ve struggled getting back in the gym but joined slimming world and lost nearly 2 stone. Now feel more confident about going to the gym and found sw so easy to follow and not loads of weighing food etc. also the meals are suitable for while family not like diet food so not making different teas for everyone. I’ve learnt not to be hard on myself about the gym. I’ll be back when I’m ready and I’m sure you will too 🥰

I feel really rubbish as I worked so hard 3 years ago to lose 4 stone, now I’ve put it all back on and I don’t know if I have the motivation to do it again 😩

Are you breastfeeding? Once I stopped I dropped like 20 pounds in about a month or so. Make sure to eat super healthy too. I have another 20 to lose tho and I’m hoping by July I will be there. I plan to lose it by eating small portions more frequently and working out hard

I’m struggling too… the month before I got pregnant I ran 2 half marathons in a week and now I haven’t ran since the 1st trimester of pregnancy. Everyone told me how I would lose weight from breastfeeding but I’m starving! I lost a lot of weight during pregnancy as I couldn’t eat and now I have gained it all back! I can’t do any exercise since I got a Velcro baby who just cries if I leave! She also hates the pram! The weather is awful too…

I weighed myself last night and decided I need to do something. The weight is mainly all round my tummy which I don’t like. I have been trying to do a lot more walking but now it is the lighter nights I want to do more running once she is in bed. Or try to do some home hiit type work outs. I know I just won’t use a gym membership so need to do something that’s manageable.
I also need to watch what I’m eating and cut down (mainly large calorie snacks like cookies, big cake slices etc) and portion sizes.

@Charlotte thank you 🥺 I have thought about slimming world! Everyone I've spoken to who's done it seems to have lost the weight they wanted. Did you go to the group class type thing? How did you feel the first time you went? X

@Danielle I weighed myself not long ago and was shocked to find that since giving birth I'd only lost around a stone. My baby was nearly 8Ib and I thought my waters and b/milk alone would have weighed nearly the same (or is that just wishful thinking)😂 I loved running before getting pregnant, I might have to try again now that the nights are getting lighter 🥰

@Selina wow well done momma! I'd struggle to even walk a half marathon let alone run 2 in a week! Such an achievement🥰 when I was breastfeeding everyone was telling me I needed to eat more so couldn't understand how I'd be losing weight. Since stopping I still haven't seen a difference in weight 🥺 have you looked into the momma and baby workouts? I know there's a load on YouTube x

@Chrissy no my milk dried up quite quickly so couldn't continue past 2 months. I think I'm going to try and make meal plans / batch cook. I think it will help with the warmer days as I can have salads etc x

@Shayne it's the same for me! It took me years to get where I needed to be & I know I want more children in the future so in one mind I'm like "lose the weight and feel happier" but then on the other hand I'm like "there's no point because you're gonna have to do it all again"

honestly same! It's so hard to do the things I once took for granted!x

@Jennifer in between your 1st and 2nd pregnancy did you try to lose the weight or did you think it was pointless because you wanted another? I've always carried more body fat around my lower belly and I just couldn't shift it! Even more so now I'm PP x
