Looking for play dates for my 1 year old!

We moved to the area recently too. We loved to go to the library! I work full time but would be up for a meet up on a Saturday or Sunday.

Honestly the best way IMO is to meet people at the park @ Grace while your LO is playing! That's been my biggest success meeting so many amazing mommas! I'm pretty sure I've chatted with you a few times at the park too!

I love the park at Grace but absolutely am the worst at talking to other moms. 😬 I clearly need to do better at this because evidently I’m not the only mom who needs mom friends!

like what are moms supposed to talk about knowing their toddler might insistently need something in the middle of the conversation… and also spending so many hours with only a toddler to talk to adult conversations are just not as easy. That’s how it is for me anyway.

I'll piggy back here... I think most moms at least at the park are all understanding if you have to up and leave mid conversation for your kiddo we get it. At least that is how I feel. Conversations at first are always awkward but, once you find some common ground after asking the basic get to know you phase normally it feels easier afterwards.

I feel like if you can make eye contact with someone and they smile and say hi that's usually your sign you can chat with them. 🤣 that's been my luck at least so far.

good point because some moms are just buried in phone world but if they’re not … they might actually be wanting friends!

I'm on my phone when I'm there without anyone and still want friends 🤣 but, some are just shy so hiding behind the phone helps.

it really is so hard! Like all I know how to talk about anymore IS my toddler 😂

riiiight and also how do moms get to know each other fast enough to know if we want to be friends. It isn’t about how our cool new shoes make us run “so fast” anymore! 😂

omg yes!!!! Like okay we’ve talked for a second and our kids play together but like.. what now? 😂 being a mom is the most awkward
