Cannot move- newborn problems

Solo parenting, here. This is for all single or solo parents. My baby has just turned 6 weeks old. I'm by myself while Dad is over seas. He was back for the delivery. When he left my mom stayed for two weeks. While they were here I could pass baby to them to get stuff done or move around. Now that I'm all by myself, I can't move. I love my baby. I'm trying to remember that each day that passes is a day that I cannot get back. However, this postpartum depression is getting to the point where I cannot breathe. I cannot take medicine. When I've done that before in the past it's made it worse but that isn't the problem- this time. Literally, every time I set baby down, baby starts to cry. I will get 5 minutes without baby in my arms, at most. My arms feel like they are about to fall off. I am at my wit's end. I've had mental breakdowns and cried everyday since they left. I am struggling beyond belief. This swing isn't helping. I just want to know if this is normal and if it is how you solo moms and single moms coped with it in the past. I definitely feel like baby should be able to sleep or at least 2 hours at a time, but it feels like baby is always awake. And I can't do anything with baby on breast, because I have to hold my large breast/nipple in baby's mouth so it doesn't fall out. I'm losing it. Any help would be appreciated.

My baby will give me 20 mins max to set her down your not alone momma. I wear her a lot. I have a mom cozy wrap weather she’s awake or she falls asleep in it she loves it and momma can get some stuff done sometimes even just strap her on and sit down to eat. Hang in there girl

Hey! First of all you are doing an incredible job mummy! Well done for being there for your baby. This won't last forever. Could you reach out to friends and family to babysit and give you some time to yourself? I know it's hard to pass the baby onto others but it sounds like you need a rest to continue being the best mummy for your baby.

unfortunately, no. No local family. Dad only trusts one family, and they are usually busy. 😮‍💨

where did you get the wrap?

I also recommend baby wearing! I use the Moby wrap. He loves it! He will sleep in it for as long as 3 hours at a time. It really frees me up when I need to be able to move around to get things done.

I also have a moby wrap. I watched a few videos and got the hang of it quick. There are multiple different kinds though. I’ve also been looking into making my own like the moby wrap.
