Olivia pump review
Tl;dr: if you have larger boobs don't bother.
So I decided on the olivia wearable pump cuz it seemed really nice and sits in your bra, doesn't stick out like the Imani or momcozy s12 (its a similar style to the elvie stride minus tubes).
So I use my spectra s2 every morning after I feed my LO and I usually get about 6oz, sometimes a little more. Yesterday I got to break out the olivia pump and messed with the settings a bunch and got 4oz, which I was like ok I was messing with settings maybe I need a different sized insert (which it comes with 15mm-21mm inserts and without inserts it's 24mm).
This thing runs on 20 minutes cycles before powering off, has 4 modes and a bunch of settings in between, so it's a lot to figure out.
I also want to add that I'm currently a 36i so, preeeetttty busty, and I was already nervous about this style of pump cuz it just seems too good to be true. It is.
This morning I pumped 2 full cycles....and got 2oz. That's it. Now I know all boobies are different, but if you have larger breasts and were considering this pump, I'd say HARD pass. Honestly I'd say stay away from this style of pump in general. If you have smaller breasts I could see it working GREAT.
I've seen (and made some myself) a lot of posts asking about these style of pumps, and I think there's a reason the momcozy s12 and Imani get recommended so much, whereas the elvie and willow often don't work as well, and I think it's just the shape of the flange and how it sits on your breast.
I reallllllyyyyyy wanted to love this pump. I keep telling myself "oh maybe just try it again tomorrow morning and mess with the settings again" but like no, I already know it's not gonna do anything. I played with the settings all morning yesterday, and it's not worth the risk to my milk supply. Which sucks. But here we are.
So now I have to get ANOTHER pump, because I need a hands free one I'm tired of being tethered to my pump with a 2 foot radius of where I can go if I set it down. For you busty ladies, I def do not recommend this pump AT ALL. Also it's loud af despite the claims. It looks really nice, comes with a nice carrying case and everything, but thats about the only nice thing I have to say about it.
I tried the Olivia pump and it’s the loudest pump Ives used. I’ve tried all the wearable pumps at this point lol
