Will council help?
Me & babies dad have separated and hes saying we need to leave but can stay until we find somewhere. I have 2 children 2 & 4 months, i have lived in this borough for 1.5 years and before that a local borough for 2 years.
Will the council help? Does anyone know the process?
When looking online the council im in now says u need to have been a resident for 7 years! But i may be looking at the wrong thing.

I was told cos I'm not homeless technically they won't be able to help much..
However, you can go through the council who may be able to help with a down payment. So you'd contact universal credit to find out your local housing allowance and then if you find a place, you can ask the council to help.
You can apply to housing lists and bid but there's not a lot on there and there are hundreds of people bidding anyway
