My baby is 4 weeks old and yesterday started crying ( he had been fed and nappy was recently changed so wasn’t sure why) I thought I’d change his nappy again to make sure and when I undressed him he was sweating a lot his arms legs back belly everywhere was wet to touch, I called the go and they wasn’t to concerned as said sometimes this can be from baby crying, this seems alot of sweat to come from a baby crying, can anyone please let me know if they have experienced this and what caused it ? It could just be you overdressed them they can't regulate their own body temp for the first year or so and you have to keep checking to make sure they aren't cold or too hot

he was in the same outfit he had been in all day :(

Did you check his temperature when he was sweating? They do get hot when crying though. My LG is 20 weeks now but had a lot of colic issues at the start and I found stripping her to her vest when really fussing helped calm her down.

Was he crying for a long time?

his temp was fine that’s why I’m confused as he really was wet all over I don’t think he was crying any different then he has done ?

What was he wearing? Was your heating on?

a vest and sleepsuit and the room was no different then it normally would’ve been?

Could he have been trying to poop, hence the crying ? I would just strip him off if it happens again and maybe a bath.
