Hi! My 10 month old started with a fever for 3 days, then a cough and snotty nose. Fever went for 1 day. Then came back. Doctor checked her out, said chest, throat and ears were clear. Now its two days later and it not getting any better. She doesn't have a fever anymore but she keeps crying out of nowhere. I'm thinking maybe it is when she pees?
I'm not quite sure, hard to tell as she obv isn't potty trained yet.
How would I know of it a UTI?
Thank you!!

Collect some urine and get it tested maybe ....

My little boy suffers from recurrent UTI’s and we’ve always been in hospital by the end of the first day of a temperature. After a couple I noticed a smell a day or so before and grouchy but as soon as the temperature started it went over 100 super fast. He’s now on a daily low dose antibiotic to prevent them so it’s been a while but I have a couple of times asked my gp for a collection kit for it to be tested. Not sure if we get them because of his history or if it’s something anyone can ask for.
They were never combined with a cough or cold, it was super high temp, very fast breathing, loss of interest in milk, lethargic and all within a few hours…UTIs in baby’s are really serious (he has permanent kidney damage from them) so if a doctor suspects they send you straight to A&E x

Thank you everyone x
